About the Role

XFactr™.AI is looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer with Playwright expertise to join our quality engineering team. The role focuses on building robust test automation frameworks, improving test coverage, and ensuring the quality and reliability of enterprise-grade applications.

Note: This role is for our global enterprise client in the energy management and industrial automation domain.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
Build and enhance test automation frameworks for web applications.
Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure product quality.
Identify, document, and track defects using standard bug tracking tools.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
Improve test coverage and reduce manual testing efforts through automation.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

5+ years of experience in software testing and automation.
Strong experience with Playwright for test automation.
Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript for writing automation scripts.
Experience with web testing frameworks and automation tools.
Good understanding of API testing and REST services.
Familiarity with Git version control and CI/CD tools.
Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and QA processes.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Good to Have

Experience with Selenium, Cypress, or other automation tools.
Knowledge of performance testing tools.
Exposure to Docker, cloud platforms, or DevOps practices.
Familiarity with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
